Meet Sarah Koop
Sarah Koop, MEd, LPC joined our team at Psychological and Consulting Services (PCS) in 2018. Ms. Koop earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2018 from the CACREP-accredited program at Lincoln Memorial University. Ms. Koop also received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2014 from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Her training as well as hours for licensure have been in forensically-informed, private practices which treat adults and adolescents.
Ms. Koop is a fully-licensed, forensically-informed provider offering individual, group, couple’s, and family therapy to adults and adolescents. Ms. Koop’s areas of specialization at PCS include sexuality, Court Ordered Behavioral Intervention (COBI) and Therapeutic Interventionist (TI), LGBTQ+ concerns, spirituality, and grief. Ms. Koop incorporates best practice guidelines, assessment, and current research in all treatment. Whether that is helping an individual with sexual behavior concerns or a family cope with divorce, Ms. Koop is motivated by her work and is inspired to create a safe space for clients for self- expression and self-healing. Ms. Koop additionally provides supervision to students and providers seeking licensure.
