Dr. Levi Cragun is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Arizona. He joined PCS following his Pre-Doctoral Internship at the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Dr. Cragun earned a master of arts and a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Midwestern University, Glendale Campus. His undergraduate degrees are in psychology, sociology, and criminal justice. Throughout his academic and clinical training, he has developed a passion for reducing the risk of reoffending in the sex offender population.

Dr. Cragun has experience working in several correctional settings, varying from county jails to federal prisons, and is familiar with psychosocial issues that contribute to different types of offense behavior. While working in the criminal justice system, he has provided treatment for substance abuse, trauma, anger management, and criminal thinking. Additionally, he has provided therapy for mood, anxiety, psychotic, and personality disorders. He developed a domestic violence prevention curriculum for female offenders in county jails and a parenting curriculum for male offenders in state custody.

Dr. Cragun has received training in assessments for juveniles and adults, including forensic training provided by the Superior Court of Arizona. Furthermore, Dr. Cragun has submitted opinions to the federal courts for issues including competency to proceed and not guilty by reason of insanity.

Outside of a criminal justice setting, Dr. Cragun has completed psychosexual evaluations for family court cases, as well as administered therapy for co-parenting related concerns. Dr. Cragun has provided behavioral health consultations to different healthcare providers and participated in multidisciplinary treatment teams. He has provided brief interventions for medically related concerns, including, insomnia, diabetes management, traumatic brain injuries, and weight management. Dr. Cragun teaches undergraduate psychology courses part-time to university students and loves sharing what he is passionate about.
