Meet Dr. Emily Marhan, Psy.D.
Dr. Emily Marhan, Psy.D. received both her Masters and Doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Antioch University in Keene, NH. Her training focused on providing services in private, inpatient, and correctional settings, with an emphasis on therapy and forensic assessment. Her doctoral dissertation focused on treatment and assessment of problematic sexual behavior among neurodivergent youth. She completed her doctoral internship at Mendota Mental Health Institute in WI, where she worked with forensically committed individuals with severe mental illness. Her internship experiences included individual and group therapy and conducting competency evaluations and risk assessments. She then moved to AZ to pursue a post-doctoral residency at PCS under the supervision of Dr. Blades. Following her residency, Dr. Marhan continues her work at PCS as a licensed clinical psychologist, providing group therapy and conducting evaluations for the court. She is a member of the Arizona Psychological Association (AzPA) and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA).
