Dr. Nicole Pondell
Nicole Pondell is currently a Psychologist at Psychological and Consulting Services. She completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University. Nicole has her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology and her Master’s of Elementary Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. She has a lot of diverse experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from all backgrounds.
Nicole worked in an after school program for three years as an assistant program manager, designing and implementing programs for children, from kindergarten to fifth grade. She also worked in a locked residential mental and behavioral health facility for children ages 8 to 18 years old as a behavioral health technician.
Additionally, Nicole was employed at Child Protective Services for five years were she took on special assignments and conducted other duties. During her internship year working at a community mental health center, she was exposed to variety of mental, emotional, and psychosocial issues that impacted children, families, and the community. Presently, in addition to the evaluation and treatment of juvenile and adult, sexual deviancy she assists in the Family Court Assistance Program (FCAP). Nicole finished her post doctoral residency in August 2012 , her plans for the future include helping juveniles and adults in the greater Phoenix area with sexual deviancy issues through assessment and treatment. Nicole is also interested in forensic and private assessments examining risks and behavioral issues, such as adolescent psychosexual evaluations, forensic psychological evaluations, forensically informed treatment, and sexual abuse prevention.
